Hope this post finds each of you in great spirit and even better health. At one of the committee meetings Melvin Evans proposed embarking on a venture to instill, preserve and revitalize "Panther Pride". Of course that has always been the intent of our alumni association. However, as the years have gone by and the enrollment at Roosevelt has dwindled, so, too, has the sense of pride and spirit we hold so dear to our hearts. Melvin has taken on this effort with vengeance and determination. I'm glad to report that he has been able to speak to the "powers that be" at Roosevelt, who have graciously agreed to let us kick off this endeavor this Friday, February 8th at the Roosevelt vs. Hammond Morton Basketball game, at The Velt.
